Dama Technologies LTD ("we", "us", or "our") operates Sparkles, a laundry management platform available via mobile application and web portal. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our service. Please read it carefully. By using Sparkles you consent to the practices described herein.

2. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of data to operate and improve Sparkles:

• Account data — name, business name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash).
• Business data — order records, customer names, pricing, service types, branch details, and staff accounts you create inside the app.
• Billing data — subscription tier and Paystack payment reference numbers. We do not store your full card details; card data is handled exclusively by Paystack.
• Usage data — log timestamps, sync activity, and basic diagnostic information used to maintain service reliability.
• Device data — operating system version and app version, collected anonymously for compatibility purposes.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the data collected to:

• Provide, operate, and maintain the Sparkles platform.
• Authenticate your account and enforce subscription tier limits.
• Process subscription payments via Paystack.
• Send transactional emails (registration confirmation, password resets, order notifications).
• Send WhatsApp order-completion notifications to your customers on your behalf.
• Respond to support enquiries and resolve technical issues.
• Improve platform features based on aggregated, anonymised usage patterns.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data to third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on a managed PostgreSQL database hosted on a secure cloud provider. We use industry-standard TLS encryption for all data in transit. Passwords are hashed using Django's PBKDF2-SHA256 algorithm and are never stored in plain text. Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.

While we implement strong security measures, no method of transmission over the Internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your account.

5. Sharing of Information

We share your data only with the following third-party service providers, and only to the extent necessary to deliver the service:

• Paystack — payment processing and subscription billing.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Meta (WhatsApp Cloud API) — order-completion WhatsApp notifications sent to your customers.
• Vercel / cloud hosting — infrastructure for serving the application.

We may disclose your data if required to do so by law or in response to a valid legal request.

6. Data Retention & Deletion Requests

We retain your account and business data for as long as your account remains active, or as needed to provide you with our services. If you request account deletion, we will permanently remove your data within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law or for legitimate business purposes (e.g. financial records).

How to request data deletion: You can request the deletion of your account and all associated personal and business data at any time by sending an email to support@sparkles.com.ng. Please include your registered email address and business name. Once processed, all database records will be permanently deleted and cannot be recovered.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities.
• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.

8. Cookies

The Sparkles web portal uses only essential session cookies required for authentication (e.g. the Django admin portal). We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or advertising cookies. The Sparkles mobile app does not use cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

Sparkles is intended for use by business operators and is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of Sparkles after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
